TRAVEL TIP:

When shopping for binoculars for travel, make sure that you are buying what you expect. True binoculars include optical prisms for bright, clear magnification...otherwise they are simply "opera glasses" or a toy. Also look for coated optics to minimize surface glare. 7 or 8 power is a reasonable power for compact binoculars...10 power is a noticeable step up, but may be a little harder to steady. Rubber eye cups are more comfortable and assist glasses wearers.
